Skyvast Green Initiative was founded by
a group of visionaries who grew up in rural Kenya, where daily struggles for clean water, quality education, and reliable healthcare were part of life. With a deep understanding of these persistent challenges, they embarked on a journey abroad, seeking opportunities to learn and gain expertise.
Now based in the U.S., these pioneers haven’t forgotten their roots. They bring back invaluable experiences in public health, environmental science, and social entrepreneurship, driven by a shared mission: to address the issues they once faced and to uplift communities across Kenya. Their commitment goes beyond borders, laying the foundation for sustainable change that will extend across Africa.

Vision Turned Action
Building Bridges of Change
Inspired by the transformative ideas they encountered abroad, these Kenyan pioneers of Skyvast Green Initiative set out to create lasting solutions for the very challenges they once faced. They realized that clean water, accessible education, and sustainable livelihoods could empower entire communities.
Determined to make an impact beyond borders, they built a network of experts in public health, environmental science, and social entrepreneurship. Together, they designed a model focused on Kenya’s most underserved semi-arid and dryland regions of Kenya, including parts of Turkana, Kitui, Isiolo, and the rain shadow areas such as Kyeni in Nyeri.
In 2015, Skyvast Green Initiative was launched with a shared vision: to restore hope, fuel enterprise, and ensure food security. The journey began by creating tangible, community-driven projects that bring opportunity, stability, and a brighter future for all.

Water as the Foundation
At Skyvast, we believe that access to clean water is the cornerstone of community development. Our primary focus is on improving water storage and catchment through the construction of water pans. These efforts not only address immediate water scarcity but also lay the groundwork for advancements in health, education, economic growth, and equality.
