At SGI, partnerships are not just part of our model—they are our model. Our success in restoring land, securing water, and transforming lives across Africa’s arid and semi-arid lands (ASALs) is made possible through bold, purpose-driven collaborations.
Whether it’s a U.S. coffee brand funding reforestation, a Kenyan agency championing indigenous trees, or a university co-creating AI monitoring tools—we multiply impact by joining hands.
Through our Beans to Trees: A Cup That Gives Back program, we partner with Kilele Coffee Factory to plant one tree in ASAL regions for every kilogram of coffee sold. This initiative links livelihoods, ESG outcomes, and water resilience—empowering farmers, restoring ecosystems, and sequestering carbon.
In collaboration with KFS, we expand reforestation, train community foresters, and develop shared water infrastructure to reduce human-wildlife conflict while reviving biodiversity.
KEFRI supports our work through research, extension services, and native tree selection for climate-smart afforestation. Together, we are scaling science-based restoration models in degraded ASAL zones.
We work with AI innovators like Pachama to bring satellite mapping, GPS tracking, and survival analytics to our tree planting and water projects—ensuring transparency and accountability at every step.
In our education pillar, Kodris Africa is helping us deliver coding and ICT education in water-secure schools, preparing ASAL youth for the digital economy and future climate careers.
We invite:
Corporates seeking meaningful ESG alignment
Foundations funding sustainable, community-led change
Universities co-developing scalable solutions
Diaspora-led ventures looking to give back with traceable, tax-exempt impact
